It was reported in the USA Today that
…nearly 1.4 million people selected plans in the first three weeks of open enrollment this year and only 1.2 milllion did so in the first three months last year…
For some of the flaws the Affordable Care Act may have, meeting a desperate insurnace need for millions of Americans is not one of them.
Whether you agree with the law or not, if people didn’t need it, they wouldn’t sign up for it. So, for people who want to repeal it – I think it makes logical sense to know what they are going to replace it with. Individuals and families are signing up to become eligible to receive healthcare services some of them may have lost or some may have never had.
Alas, I realize my mistake is trying to bring logic into politics…but isn’t there a first time for everything??
